Community Paper Issue 04

Community Paper Issue 04

from $1.00

After a 2 year hiatus, we're bringing back the Community Papers!

It's a 14 (+2) page publication, where we feature unique submissions from our members and commit 100% of the sales profits to support grassroots creators or charitable causes that we firmly believe in. Starting this February, the community issues will be published every two months.

Paper 04 was meant to be a giveaway for our community members, but after the recent devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, we have decided to dedicate this issue to supporting the victims affected by this tragedy.

Since Monday, February 6th, more than 21,000 people have died in Turkey and Syria after earthquakes swept through the region. Rescue workers are now racing against time to pull survivors from the rubble of collapsed buildings in freezing winter conditions. According to authorities, at least 78,124 people were injured across both countries, and numbers are unfortunately still rising.

We want to do whatever we can to help, so 100% of all proceeds from the sale of Issue 04 will be distributed equally and donated to the following organizations:

AKUT: AKUT is a voluntary, non-governmental organization involved in searching, assisting and rescuing the victims of those affected by the earthquake. They are fully transparent about how they spend donations they receive. https://www.akut.org.tr/en

AHBAP: With 200 philanthropists and 30,000 volunteers on board, AHBAP is another local voluntary network that is currently active in the affected regions. https://ahbap.org

Syrian American Medical Society Foundation: SAMS is a global medical relief organization that is working on the frontlines of crisis relief in Syria and beyond to save lives and alleviate suffering. SAMS proudly provides dignified medical care to every patient in need. https://www.sams-usa.net

Doctors Without Borders (MSF): Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) offers humanitarian medical assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. The MSF teams in northern Syria have been responding since the first hours of the disaster. https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org

Issue 004 is available in limited quantities. All amounts are in USD. Community Papers are published every two months. These issues are meant to act as a "creative newspaper" and form a bridge between digital publications and an official magazine. They are available online on the SMPLE website, and in the future, they will be made available at our events and select partner locations in UK and Canada.
